Jackie and Mark’s Wedding

Jackie and Mark’s wedding was last weekend and took place in Pasadena. I had been waiting for their wedding day ever since I met up with Jackie and Mark for their engagement session. We had so much fun getting to know each other and I knew their wedding would be a good time. The ceremony took place at The Holy Family Church. The church was gorgeous. It was designed and built in 1928, had tall ceilings and beautiful stain glass windows. Jackie and Mark’s ceremony was given by the same bishop that performed Mark’s parents ceremony when they got married. I think that is so sweet!
After the ceremony we wandered outside to take pictures and it was rainy but don’t worry, only the good kind. Just enough for good luck, not enough to ruin the day! The reception was held in the backyard of Mark’s parents house and it was just perfect. All of their planning really paid off. Jackie and Mark wowed their guests with their first dance and Jackie’s maid of honor made everyone cry with her heart felt speech… including me. Like the kids, I too love the mustard story Jackie!
Thanks for including Red Loft Studios on your amazing day!

Congratulations you guys!

Drew and Jerry at the MOLAA

» Tammy

On Saturday I had the great pleasure and honor of photographing Drew and Jerry’s wedding at the Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach. These two planned such a beautiful wedding down to every last detail. The color orange flourished throughout picking up all the other vibrant colors of the museum. And we had such a great time getting creative with the architecture and the artwork. And although it started to rain just before the ceremony these two didn’t let that get in the way of a beautiful event. The guests stood under a canopy while Drew and Jerry said their “I do’s” under an umbrella. It was such a heartwarming and meaningful ceremony that included many of their friends and family. Drew and Jerry have a love for each other that is undeniable and deserves to be recognized. Congratulations you two!

A date with Leo at the Getty

The other day I was fortunate enough to meet Leo for the first time at The Getty Center. He also brought along his mom and dad who I haven’t seen since their wedding over a year ago. Leo is quite the flirt and really knows how to charm the ladies. All he does is flash his toothy grin and it makes you melt! We were able to spend some quality time hanging out in the gardens taking some pictures while his mom and dad sang to us. Leo even revealed his sporty side to me by wearing his NY Giants outfit. We had some great goo goo ga ga conversation and a few giggles, before it was nap time….for mom and dad. Thanks for spending the afternoon with me Leo. It was great meeting you!

Just weeks old and Christopher already knows how to take a good picture. He’s a natural in front of the camera! Mom and Dad sure are lucky to have such a mellow baby…and with such great hair!!!! I was able to get some really beautiful images as well as talk a little shop with mom (she just got a new camera from her hubby as a gift for bringing little Christopher into this world). It was a great morning and I’m hoping to follow little Christopher’s progress over the years….he’s such a cutie!

Abby and Lisa’s Halloween day wedding

Today I had the pleasure of spending Halloween with a really great couple. Abby and Lisa exchanged vows at the Old Orange County Courthouse and I tagged along to take some pictures of the event. Before I could let the two get married, I dragged them to the beach to take some pre-ceremony shots. I got really lucky with the weather. It was raining when I woke up, but by the time we started shooting, the clouds parted and the sun came out. It was definitely a sign of good things to come for Abby and Lisa. After our photo shoot we made our way to the courthouse where Abby and Lisa were married by a “Dracula” Judge (it is Halloween after all!). It was a beautiful ceremony and the two were greeted outside the courthouse by their dog Toby, the best man. Congratulations you two and thanks for including me in your day!

The Paz Clan

It has been a few years since I’ve seen the Paz family. In fact, Paris was only about 2 and Karla was pregnant with Capri. They’ve added a few little ones to the brood in the meantime and now the Paz’s equal 6! This family is not only big in size, but big in making me laugh. I couldn’t stop cracking up at trying to get everyone in one place at the same time. If you can believe it, we were able to coral the clan, and get them to make some funny faces at the camera. It was a blast! This family is super sweet and I’m so lucky to be part of their family memories!
