Elizabeth and Chad Celebrate at the Korakia in Palm Springs

One of the greatest joys of my job is getting the opportunity to take part in some of the happiest moments in people’s lives. I love seeing the tears, hearing the laughter and especially experiencing in the beauty of the day. Every time I am invited to be part of a wedding I get so excited to see the unique take each couple has on such an old and honored tradition. Elizabeth and Chad’s take on “the big day” was truly cool, completely unique, and amazingly fun. Not even a little rain could dampen the festivities. Guests gathered at the Korakia hotel in Plam Springs for a weekend of celebration. This hip boutique hotel boasts a Moroccan flavor which can be seen in every arched doorway, colorful lantern, and tiled fountain. Liz and Chad took this theme and ran with it, accenting the already stunning details with vintage lounge furniture and and soft candlelight. Their style didn’t stop at the decor. Elizabeth looked stunning in a gorgeous Monique Lhuillier gown while Chad rocked the Chuck Taylors. They are definitely a good looking couple but I have to say that my favorite fashion statement of the day came in the form of a pint sized grey suit and matching newsboy cap donned by the bride and groom’s little one, Cash. Too cute!

The light rain parted just in time for a gospel choir to announce the arrival of Chad’s beautiful bride. Elizabeth and Chad said their “I do’s” in the main courtyard of the hotel flanked by orchids and rose petals. Friends and family surrounded the happy couple as they exchanged vows and shared laughs. The kiss signaled the end of the ceremony and the start of one amazing party. Guests wandered the beautiful property sampling from the many unique food stations as they sipped custom cocktails and grooved to the beats of DJ Kyle Moss. The night was so magical. Congratulations to Elizabeth, Chad and Cash!

Action Jaxon

Former Red Loft clients Sherief and Cara had a baby boy almost a year ago named Jaxon. He is the cutest little muffin! I was so happy to meet him last week and take his portrait. I gotta tell you, he is definitely one of the cutest little guys I’ve ever seen. He has the sweetest big brown eyes and long lashes. I just want to squeeze him!

Here is a peek at some of our Red Loft Studios favorites from the shoot.

Daddy has been known to rock it on the drums and since he couldn’t be here we had a jam session in his honor.

My little Luke tagged along on the shoot and I think he and Jaxon will be buds in no time!

A Grandma and Mommy sandwich.

Awwww…such a momma’s boy!

Baby Cameron has arrived!

Sonya was the cutest little prego girl. She had the smallest little belly and was the epitome of hot mama. She recently gave birth to her first little baby girl Cameron but not before we got some belly pics. And then after Cameron arrived, I stopped by their house to get some newborn baby pics. Cameron is as cute as a button and both mommy and daddy say she is as sweet as she looks. I’m so happy for the Schwede family and I can’t wait to watch little Cameron grow. Congrats you guys!

Rain, Rain, go away

» Jenny

On Sunday I met up with Jennifer and Brian for their afternoon engagement session in San Diego. We literally just beat the rain! It started to sprinkle for our last few shots. We had such a blast hanging out despite the pending doom of a storm. Jennifer and Brian are so cute together and VERY good looking so it made it that much easier for me to shoot. They definitely have chemistry together and it really shows in how playful they are together. I feel so lucky to have met them and even luckier that I’ll be a part of their big day. I can’t wait to meet all of their family and friends. I’m sure they’re just as sweet as they are!

Congratulations you two!

Madison’s modeling debut

» Jenny
Jenny

Cute little Madison made her very first Red Loft Studios modeling debut. She is quite possibly one of the most mellow babies I’ve ever seen. I think she secretly has a passion to be in front of the camera. It was amazing how she looked right at the lens and gave me some great smiles. She’s only a few months old so that’s quite impressive! The family and I had so much fun braving the cold to get some beautiful fall shots and then they treated me to some super yummy Cuban food. Ahhh…you can’t get much better than that. Congrats to Charmaine and Hubert on the new addition to the family!

Caitlin and John’s winter wonderland wedding

» Jenny
Jenny

Last Friday I photographed the beautifully embellished winter wedding of Caitlin and John at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena. If you love the idea of a white Christmas in California, this wedding would have blown your socks off! Caitlin and John’s vision was exactly what a winter wedding should be; tons of flocked Christmas trees, garland for miles, wintery snowflakes, glimmering crystals, beautifully wrapped presents, exquisite food and extremely content guests. Caitlin was a vision in white and her dress matched the occasion flawlessly. John was resplendent in black, complementing his beautiful bride perfectly! It was apparent where the couple’s style originated once I met both of their families. Let’s just say good looks and style run in the family! I feel so honored to have been a part of Caitlin and John’s wedding and I know they will have a lifelong love story. Congratulations you two!
