What do you do with engagement photos?

» Jenny
Jenny

A question I get asked a lot is, “What do people do with engagement photos?”

Besides the fact that engagement photos are nice to do because we get to know our clients better, we also use the images in many creative ways. The images are sometimes used for invitations, CD favors, save the date cards, guest sign in books, photos displayed at your wedding, even centerpieces. The possibilities are endless and we’re here to help you with all your creative ideas!
Here are some examples:

Jasmine & Jeff’s Wedding

» Tammy

This past Saturday I photographed Jasmine and Jeff’s wedding at the First
Congregational Church in Los Angeles. It’s a Gothic style church with
beautiful rose windows and stone walls… A truly amazing location! After
the ceremony we moved on to the reception at the Park Plaza Hotel. This was
another great site with a lot of glamorous LA history behind it. Jeff
designed all the perfect little details from the romantic sky projections
down to the cherry blossom trees that lined the hall. And these two really
know how to throw a party. The dance floor was absolutely packed the entire
night. What a blast!

Over the weekend I met up with Katie and Pete for a photo shoot at Stanford University where Pete is getting his MBA. Stanford has such a beautiful campus and Katie and Pete were so much fun how could we not get amazing images??? We then took our photo party on the road to Half Moon Bay for some fun beach shots. Hopefully every time Katie and Pete look at their photos they will remember the fantastic time they had in California.

Kim & Tom Engagement Photos

» Jenny
Jenny

This Sunday, on a cold cloudy day, I photographed Kim and Tom’s engagement photos. Despite the chill, we had a lot of fun just goofing around trying to stay warm….

We call these kind of days MOODY because it sounds a lot nicer than cloudy. Actually this type of lighting is great for photos. Everyone’s skin looks flawless and you don’t get dark circles under your eyes because of the bright sun. So, while everyone is always searching for that perfect sunny day, I’m looking for the clouds and the haze.

Just take a look at how good looking the lighting makes Kim and Tom look….ha ha ha…actually I can’t take credit for that….they just ARE good looking!!! So go ahead and take a peek at two really cute people on their engagement photo shoot!!!

My Big Fat Greek Wedding…

» Jenny

Tara and Tim were married tonight in a traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony. The church was gorgeous! It had tons of ornate frescos and beautiful crystal chandeliers. After the ceremony we headed to Newport Beach to the Marriot for a reception full of incredible Greek dancing. I love the fact that everyone dances! I am not kidding….EVERYONE gets on the dance floor and dances their hearts out. It is such a beautiful thing. Tara and Tim are so in love and you can really tell by the way they look into each other’s eyes. It was such an honor to be a part of their wedding….

Misty and Aaron-MOLA, Long Beach

This Saturday I photographed Misty and Aaron’s wedding at the Museum of Latin American Art. What a great location! Their ceremony and reception were held in the sculpture garden which included some beautiful and unique pieces.
Being able to shoot in the museum and incorporate the
art into their photos was a pleasure. If you haven’t been to this museum you should definitely give it a few hours of your time.
Thanks for the beautiful setting Misty and Aaron!
