Sunday evening I had the pleasure of photographing Judy and Yoni’s wedding at the Long Beach Museum of Art. These two medical students planned their event from the east coast between classes and lab. We began the day by photographing Judy and Yoni getting ready with the whole family near the beach in Belmont Shores. I don’t think I have ever seen a more relaxed bride and groom. They were both full of laughter and completely at ease. The wedding was rich with cultural and family history, from the homemade Chuppa to the adapted tea ceremony. An intimate gathering of family and close friends witnessed beautiful vows written by Judy and Yoni. I am known around the studio for my love of wedding cake and my tendency to get a bit weepy and I thought their words to each other were especially touching. After the ceremony we roamed the grounds finding amazing photo opportunities while the guests enjoyed cocktail hour. Once dinner was complete and the toasts had been given the guests really got down to a mix of tunes from David Bowie to Count Basie. Check out some of Red Loft Studios favorite pics!!!!!!!!!!!

Sunday I photographed the second round of engagement photos with Jenny and Andy. We started at the Getty Museum for a few shots in the garden and then headed to UCLA. The school holds a big significance to both of them since they met there. Jenny was in law school and Andy was in business school…..a match made in the library!!!! We also took family photos with their adorable dog Bella. She’s no newbie to the camera, she has her own Lexus ad! ( I like a dog that can pull her own weight at home!!!)

Last Friday I photographed Kayla and David’s wedding at Rancho Las Lomas. The setting was perfect and the ceremony was incredibly beautiful and heartfelt. I actually got a little teary eyed during one of the readings. Everyone followed up the ceremony with an amazing mashed potato bar and some all night dancing on the dance floor. This bunch really knows how to have a good time.

Last Wednesday Kayla and David invited me to spend the day with their family
at Disneyland to shoot some family photos instead of a traditional
engagement shoot. It was such a fun way to get to know their wonderful
family before the ceremony. Everyone was so nice and playful. We really
had a great time. And Kayla and David are such a perfect match. Thanks for
the invite you two!

This weekend I photographed the wedding of Kim and Tom at the Laguna Cliffs Marriot. It was such a wonderful wedding filled with a lot of love! Kim looked absolutely gorgeous with tiny jewels hidden into hair which was coverd by a long and dramatic veil. Tom was looking just as good (especially with his new bride on his arm!) with his ultra GQ tux that had a white vest and white tie. They both looked very classy! The day was gorgeous and wasn’t as hot as expected! A unique element to the day was the first dance which included their voices telling about their love for each other….It was very moving!!!

I’m so happy I could be there alongside Kim and Tom for their big day! They are such great people!

Last Saturday I photographed Dawn and Anthony’s wedding at the Luxe in Beverly Hills. It was a wonderful day for an outdoor ceremony and a drive to the beach. It was amazing to me how much I learned about Dawn and Anthony at their wedding. The rehearsal, ceremony and toasts to the couple were filled with love and beautiful stories (some funny ones too!) of how they met, all the way up to their wedding day. I felt very happy to be part of their day!
