Sunday evening I met up with Michelle and Nate in downtown Los Angeles for a super chic engagement session. Michelle and Nate looked super cool against the back drop of the Disney Concert Hall. I had so much fun using the unique architecture and modern vibe and incorporating it into the shoot. We then headed down to Union Station for a completely different and more vintage feel. Michelle and I both agreed that you feel like you walked onto the set of a Humphry Bogart movie as soon as you set foot inside the building. After the train station Michelle and Nate changed into jeans and t-shirts so that I could capture the “real” them. We had a great time cruising the streets of LA and finding some great “Kodak Moments” along the way.

Today Kara, Frank, and I hung out in Long Beach to take their engagement photos. We had a lot of fun just walking around the lighthouse and checking out the beach. Kara and Frank live close by so it was exciting just getting to know each other better and talk about the wedding. I’m trying to get them to move to Long Beach so we can all enjoy the art and music scene in the LBC! We had such a great time and here are a few of our Red Loft Studios favorites:

This past weekend I drove up to Santa Barbara to photograph John and Kelly’s wedding at the Doubletree Hotel. It was a gorgeous location with an absolutely adorable couple. It was impossible for them to stop smiling at each other. And come reception time, let me start out by saying, “what a riot!” This crowd was so much fun and you could tell that their top priority was to have a great time. They did… And so did we. Thanks for letting me be a part of the celebration you two.

Yesterday I spent the day with Jillian and Jacob. In celebration of their 1 year wedding anniversary, they got dressed up in their wedding day garb and we headed out to take some photos. I did not have the pleasure of photographing their wedding, but this was even better. We were able to get some really great shots because there was no time constraints and really not a care in the world except finding a bouquet at the last minute. Jillian and Jacob are so sweet and in love and I felt so honored to document that for them.

Tonight I photographed the wedding of Cheryl and Mike at the Wayfarer’s Chapel in Palos Verdes. Before the ceremony we took photos at the Point Vicente Lighthouse. Usually people are not permitted to take photos at the lighthouse but Mike had special permission for us to shoot there. It was amazing. We had so much fun goofing around with their kids and just enjoying having the place to ourselves. Cheryl and Mike are so laid back and their kids are adorable little models so we really just had ourselves a fun little Friday night. Congratulations guys!

Last Sunday I met David and Becca at the Ritz Carlton in Laguna to
photograph their wedding. It was such a lovely ceremony. The aisle was
covered with white rose petals and bouquets of sunflowers hung from the
guests’ chairs. And despite the heat from the day David and Becca kept it
cool. They were so cute the way they were looking at each other and
cuddling during the shoot. You guys really make a great couple.
