Molly and Katie go to Rehoboth

Ok so I know we were brought here to work, but a girl has to have some fun too. Molly and I enjoyed exploring the beachside community. If we weren’t shooting we were hanging at the Purple Parrot (karaoke anyone?) or cruising the boardwalk. Check out some of our fun shots below from Amanda and Randall’s Delaware wedding.

Mike and Lillian

Last Saturday I photographed the wedding of Mike and Lillian in Rancho Palos Verdes at the new Point Vecente Interpretive Center. What an amazing view and some great photo opportunities! If you’ve never been, this would be a great destination for your next road trip. Mike and Lillian released doves to conclude their ceremony (a very nice touch!) and Mike hired a Mariachi band to get the party going.

Jack and Christina

Well, I think Jack and Christina might possibly be the cutest couple in the world! I can’t wait to see them all dressed up at the wedding. I had a great time shooting their engagement portraits yesterday. We walked around Old Town Orange and then took a little trip over to Disneyland. We were even able to take a few photos where they first met. Next step, wedding photos!

Thanks for the fun day Jack and Christina! Here are some of our Red Loft Studios favorites!

Ingrid and Gus

One of the reasons I love doing engagement sessions because it gives me the opportunity to get to know my clients. Not to mention I get to have time to play. Sunday I met up with Gus and Ingrid at their house so that I could take some quick shots of them with their pups before we headed downtown Los Angeles to Union Station. I think that being in someone’s home and watching them interact with those they love is the best way to get an overall sense of who they are and therefore how best to photograph them. I love the playful, loving vibe of the photos we took at their house and feel they are a great mix with the more artsy, sophisticated feeling of downtown Los Angeles. Thanks so much to Gus and Ingrid for indulging my photo nerdiness and sharing your world with me.

Tyler and Joe

Saturday Jim and I had the pleasure of shooting Tyler and Joe’s Malibu wedding at the Ranco Sol del Pacifico. These two have an amazing attention to detail. The private home was decorated in orange and pink…..hanging lanterns, flowers, and even pomegranate name cardholders. The details were not merely decorative either, but romantic too! Tyler made Joe’s 4 wedding bands herself and Joe stopped the ceremony to remove his bride’s shoes because he promised her that they would get married barefoot. They also wrote love letters to each other to be opened in the case of a “love” emergency or at the 20th anniversary, or whichever comes first. The party started off with traditional Italian tunes as a nod to Joe’s heritage and then kept the guests dancing all night. Now I must mention the dessert, as it is my favorite part of any wedding. Usually I am partial to wedding cake but Joe and Tyler’s dessert took the proverbial cake with cannolis flown in from Brooklyn. Check out all of Red Loft Studios favorite details below.

Tisha & Jonathan’s Newport Coast wedding

» Jenny

WOW!! Another wonderful wedding on Saturday! Clients like Tisha and Jonathan are the reason I continue to love my job. Their wedding was one of my favorites! Their ceremony was intimate and personal, and their vows were so warm and heartfelt. Tisha and Jonathan are the nicest most genuine people and we all felt like guests at their wedding. Tisha was so relaxed and there was no stress at all to this wedding. We even had plenty of time to walk down to the beach and goof around near the water….I just had so much fun with them. Thanks again guys.
