Christin & Scott Tie the Knot

Sunday Jim and I photographed the wedding of Christin and Scott at Rancho Capistrano. The Spanish style property was decorated with red and gold leaves and flowers provided by both Christin and mother nature. Scott and Christin along with their bridal party and guests were so playful and really got into the party spirit. Everyone line danced the night away under glowing candlelight. Once it was time for the happy couple to leave the guests took their candles in hand and lined the walkway to Scott and Christin’s decorated get-a-way car. Check out some of Red Loft’s favorite fun shots of the day!

On Saturday I photographed the wedding of Kara and Frank at the Rio Hondo Golf Course. It was such a nice sweet wedding. Kara and Frank met as coworkers at Disneyland….They didn’t have a Disney theme wedding, but a bunch of their old work friends were in attendance. Kara and Frank looked so in love, and I felt so happy to be a part of their day…..Congratulations guys.

An afternoon at the beach for engagement photos….

Yesterday I photographed Thu-Truc and Josh at the beach. It was a little windy and cold, so I was happy that they were such good sports. At one point I asked Thu-Truc to raise her leg like the old Hollywood movie kisses, and Josh raised his also….it was pretty funny! So, of course I had to post that one on the blog (sorry Josh!). I had a lot of fun hanging out with the two of them, and I know their wedding will be just the same! Here are a few of our Red Loft Studios favorites.

Monica and Dave “Bright and Early”

I met up with Monica and Dave at their Long Beach home bright and early this morning. After a few cups of cafe we were off and running. Monica and Dave wanted their engagement photos to capture who they truly are. What better place than their home! I so enjoy doing environmental photography. I think that adding the element of one’s environment really enhances the photograph and makes it that much more special for the client. Thanks to Monica and Dave for challenging me to find them among the streets and neighborhoods of Long Beach!

Katie and Rob

This past Saturday I photographed Katie and Rob’s wedding at the Marbella
Country Club in San Juan Capistrano. Katie and Rob are so much fun and so
very much in love. Katie looked absolutely amazing and she was all smiles
the entire day. Their ceremony was so touching and heartfelt. I even saw a
few tears being shed. Afterwards they partied like no other. Everyone was
cutting it up on the dance floor. What a great wedding! Congratulations
Katie and Rob!

Todd and Louise

Todd and Louise love the outdoors so when they heard it was going to rain, it was hard for them to give up their perfect outdoor locations and take the safe route, so they decided not to! They wanted their wedding to include the things they are passionate about, the outdoors being one of them. After the ceremony in Bellflower we headed for the El Dorado Nature Center to take photos of the newly married couple. On the way to the nature center we were all anxiously looking at the sky wondering if the guests would be huddled under umbrellas when we returned, but as the day when on it was obvious that it was going to be warm and sunny. Everyone still had fun with the umbrellas.
Todd and Louise also share a passion for great food so when it came to their wedding day, they knew they had
to have the best. The Kitchen, a catering company out of Pasadena provided wonderful hors d’oeuvres, gorgeous bento boxes (with a surprise!) and the cutest ice cream cones. Molly and I had a great time!
