Ingrid and Gus hosted a beautiful wedding at CalTech’s Atheneum. I felt like I walked onto a film set with the twinkling lights, candles, and guitar music playing in the background. CalTech is a beautiful campus and we caught it at the right time of year. The flowers were in bloom and the slightlly cloudy day made everything just glow. It was so fun to roam the campus with Ingrid and Gus and find little corners to photograph in. They were truly awesome models. After the ceremony the guests enjoyed the reception in the courtyard and danced the night away to a three piece band and dj. Tammy and I could be seen shak’n a bit too. Saturday Charity and I had the pleasure of photographing Michelle and Nate’s wedding. Michelle and Nate have been dating for 10 years, since high school, and Charity and I both agree they are probably one of the sweetest couples ever. During their first dance they both sang along with the music. The reception was held at the Bridges Music Auditorium at Claremont College (such a cool location). Michelle and her bridesmaids put together some awesome details for these beautiful fall themed wedding. Each guest was given a miniature wedding cake hand made by the girls and mini pumpkins served as name cards to guide the guests to their tables. This crowd really knew how to party! They kept the reception rock’n into the wee hours. Congratulations to Nate and Michelle. Hope you guys are checking out these pics from your honeymoon in Greece!

Saturday night was the wedding of Lilit and Artin. We got started at Lilit’s parent’s house and then headed over to St. Peters Armenian Church. Their traditional Armenian ceremony was beautifully complimented by the most melodic church choir I have ever heard. Just hearing their voices gave me the chills several times. After the ceremony, we headed over to the Wilshire Ebell which was perfectly decorated with tea light candles, lilies, hydrangeas, tulips, and roses. Lilit and Artin also had a cigar bar, chocolate fondue station, and cute little boxes of pashmina’s for the women. The evening was filled with plenty of dancing and partying and it was such a blast to get out on the dance floor and capture everyone’s sweet dance moves! What a great weddding…..

This afternoon I met with Malia and Keith again to finish up our engagement photos. Our last session got cut short when a lifeguard shut us down in Newport Beach…..( They require a permit to photograph at their beaches….. CRAZY!) Anyway, this time we hung out in Seal Beach. There was barely anyone on the beach and the weather was great. Malia wore this dress that I absolutely love. It looks vintage, but it isn’t. Actually Keith picked it out for her….how sweet! And Keith was looking fabulous in a suit and tie. I love the contrast of being at the beach in dressy clothes. It looks like a magazine ad! Once again, it was great spending time with the two of them….only a few weeks until the wedding!!!!

I met Christin and Scott downtown Laguna for an engagement shoot filled with laughs. We roamed the streets and found great photo ops hidden all around the artist community. Christin and Scott’s playful personality really came out when we hit the sand and got our toes wet in the water. Check out some shots that I think really capture Christin and Scott’s love for each other!

The Bowers Museum is truly a fantastic backdrop for a beautiful wedding. Saturday Marnie and Bob said their “I dos” at sunset in the courtyard of this Spanish style museum. I have never had a wedding ceremony so full of laughter. Bob got the giggles as soon as the wedding march began and both he and Marnie didn’t stop laughing entire night. The wedding guests partied under twinkling lights to both a band and a dj and the night was topped off with not one but two cakes and a cigar and port bar! Once again, I was wishing I was a guest at this awesome party.
