Ava’s baby photographs

Yesterday I photographed Jill and Kelly’s new baby girl, Ava.  She’s six weeks old and absolutely adorable.  She was so curious and so good in front of the camera.  I think we may have a natural on our hands.  I really love seeing my clients again after they’ve gotten married and have started a family.  Thanks you two.  Your little girl is so precious.

Dana and Paul’s Rancho Santa Fe wedding

Last Saturday I photographed Dana and Paul’s wedding at the Morgan Run Resort and Club in Rancho Santa Fe.  It was a beautiful day and a gorgeous location.  Dana and Paul had an intimate ceremony with close friends and family overlooking the golf course.  What a view!  Afterwards we all piled into golf carts to take advantage of more photo ops around the course and to catch the sunset… Amazing!  Then it was on to dinner and dancing.  And I must say that I did have a piece of cake before I left… Sooooo good!
Congratulations you two.

Here are some of our Red Loft Studios favorites.

Becky and Ben

I met up with Becky and Ben and Ben’s brother Christopher (our drowsy driver) for engagement photos around Chicago. We began our shoot at one of Ben’s favorite spots, Soldier Field, home of the Chicago Bears. We then hit Millenium Park with one of Chicago’s most famous landmarks, THE BEAN. I love the reflection of the city’s skyline on the chrome sculpture. I felt like I was on a walking tour of the city as Ben filled me on the history of various parks and buildings. Now I feel like I have a home away from home, thanks Ben! Check out some of Red Loft Studios favorite shots of Becky and Ben’s Chicago engagement shoot.

Susan and Brandon

Sunday I was treated to a unique tour of Chicago. Susan and Brandon took me to their favorite spots in the city. These music buffs started their tour at two of their favorite concert venues. Then we then headed to the lake where Brandon asked Susan to marry him. He chose the rainbow marker so he could always remember where he proposed, plus it has an AWESOME view of the city. Some of my favorite shots of our ride on the EL train. I really enjoyed getting to know Susan and Brandon more as they showed me the spots around the city that mean so much to them. Congratulations you two!

Dawn and Erich’s Windy City Wedding

» Katie

This weekend’s wedding adventure brought Nikki and I back to Chicago to photograph Dawn and Erich’s wedding. Although it was a bit colder than Nikki and I are used to we managed to have a wonderful time and get some amazing shots. Dawn and Erich planned not only a beautiful wedding but a pretty fun one too. Many thanks to the wedding party for trekking all over Chicago with me in search of the best shots. We began our photos at the Shedd Aquarium for a great skyline view of the city and then headed down to Grant Park to capture the fall spirit in a Chicago landmark. The reception was held at Chicago’s Studio 501. The loft style space really added to Dawn and Erich’s “downtown” wedding.
