Sunday Jenny and I photographed our first wedding of the year aboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach. Monica and Dave chose the Queen Mary because it was important to them to celebrate with their friends and families in the city where they live and play (plus it has some really cool art deco design elements). So we have this really cool couple on a very hip boat what more could we ask for?????? How about a Santa Clause convention! No joke there were hundreds of Santas on board prior to the wedding. It was by far one of the coolest things I have ever seen. Too bad they couldn’t stay to party because they missed a fabulous reception. Monica and Dave lucked out with a beautiful day, an amazing sunset, and a rock’n party……but isn’t that how it always is aboard the Love Boat? Check out some of Red Loft Studios favorite moments of the day. Congratulations to Monica and Dave!

We found an on duty Santa who was more than ready to have his picture taken with Dave.

Monica and the ladies caught a moment to lounge in the sun before the walk down the aisle

Even her shoes match her bouquet!

I was so excited to use the photo booth on board. What a great memento for Monica and Dave’s wedding day.

Monica and Dave busting some sweet dance moves…

We are clearly better behind the camera than in front of it. This is hanging up in the studio and we all laugh every time we pass by.
Here is a recipe for a great wedding…….
mix 2 parts cool couple
one part awesome venue (Queen Mary)
one part great dj (www.redshoela.com) to get the party going (I mean they played Dee-Lite “Groove is in the Heart” can’t get better than that)
Shake and Serve for a wedding to remember!
