Cutest proposal ever!

The other day I met with our 2008 clients Tony and Michelle at the loft. Tony proposed to Michelle in the cutest way. I had to share it with all of you. I’m voting best proposal ever…..what do you think?

Saturday Jenny and I hit the Sunset strip for Cynthia and Paul’s wedding at the Sunset Tower Hotel. The hotel’s amazing art deco architecture mixed with its historic past got me inspired to bring old Hollywood to Cynthia and Paul’s wedding photos. I studied the work of legendary Hollywood photographer George Hurrell in order to find poses and techniques that would help evoke the time period and the feel of the hotel that Cynthia and Paul love so much. Cynthia and Paul’s romance blossomed in the quiet corners and posh atmosphere of the hotel so what better place to say their “I dos.†The whole wedding was so intimate and full of personal details. My favorite moments of the day were when Paul and Cynthia exchanged their vows as the stars came out and they shared their first dance with their daughter Lainey. Check out Red Loft Studios modern take on old Hollywood below.

Yesterday I met up with Maureen and Tim along with our super new assistant Jaqueline in Pasadena for an engagement photo shoot. Maureen and Tim met while they were both teaching elementary school in Los Angeles. I was immediately charmed by their warmth and humor. These two make a wonderful match. We spent our afternoon getting to know each other while exploring some of Maureen and Tim’s favorite spots in Old Town and talking about our mutual love for dessert. My absolute favorite photos to take are shots of people cracking up. I had plenty of opportunities with Maureen and Tim. Whether it was practicing their dance moves or strolling down cobblestones of Old Town these two kept each other (and me) laughing the whole afternoon. Check out some of Red Loft Studios’ favorite shots of the afternoon below. Congratulations to Maureen and Tim. I can’t wait to taste the mint ‘n chip wedding cake!!!
Tim and Maureen had a blast showing me their sweet moves.

Jaqueline caught a shared laugh next to the site of their first date.

This one might be my favorite. Tim cracks me up.

Sharing a “Hawaiian” kiss.

Friends and family of Misty and Kevin gathered this weekend for their long awaited wedding ceremony. They meet in college through a mutual friend and they’ve been inseparable ever since. The Pacific Asian Museum in Pasadena was the chosen venue for their celebration. It created a perfect setting for their ceremony and reception. The museum has a gorgeous, relaxing courtyard and a bonus, the guests are able to browse the displays during the reception. An adorable wedding for an adorable couple.
Congratulations newlyweds!

Candice and Alan met through a mutual friend after Alan decided to throw caution to the wind and move to Southern California from Georgia for a change. Candice was quickly charmed by this southern gentleman, I mean really, how could you resist the accent! They truly make a wonderful couple. Not only can you tell that they are head over heels in love, but they made FABULOUS models during our shoot. We began our afternoon at the San Juan Capistrano Mission to capture Candice and Alan amongst the classic Spanish architecture that Candice loves. We then headed down to one of their favorite hang outs at the San Clemente pier. Check out Red Loft Studios favorite images of the day below. Congratulations to Candice and Alan we can’t wait for your special day.

Their last name is very appropriate for this large sized family of 29 (plus a crew of about 6 dogs!). They also all have the biggest hearts. I couldn’t stop laughing at how much fun they had together. I come from a big family as well so I felt right at home. I took a ton of pictures but wanted to share some of the more fun ones from the day.

Some of the Houston boys looking oh so model-esque.
Ok, I love a family that can make the most out of a not so fun situation! (poor Brandon!)
Little Ryan wanted a picture alone….what a cutie!
and again….another ham in the fam.
Little Gary before and after the shoot….can you say too cool for diapers!

Last but not least, Jesse and little Charlie……
