Today Cathy, Jeff, and myself met at Alverno High School in Sierra Madre to start off their engagement photos. I’ve shot at this location a few times and I absolutely love it! It has such great architecture and amazing light. It’s fun to take advantage of such a beautiful structure. Next we headed to the Getty and grabbed a few shots there in the garden. This is also a great gem of Southern California. It’s such a big place with great photo ops left and right. After we finished up at the Getty we went to one of my favorite spots, Santa Monica Pier. We had such a great day driving around LA and getting some fun shots. I love my job!

What a party! Tian and Christiano sure know how to throw a fun party.
They had an absolute fairy tale wedding last Saturday at the Ebell Club of Los Angeles.

Tian and the designers of Veronique Events created a unique and gorgeous atmosphere at the Ebell.

So, what do you get when you combine booty shakin’ music and live trapeze artists?…a non stop party!
No one could stop dancing or take their eyes off of the performers.

Everything at the wedding just sparkled!
The decorations, people, music and live entertainment screamed, “Have fun at my wedding!” and everyone did!

Vanessa and Jason have one of those old fashion, movie style romances that we all dream about. Vanessa and Jason grew up across the street from one another, but it wasn’t until High School that  Jason says Vanessa finally noticed him.   hese two were high school sweethearts and have kept their love going strong through Vanessa’s move to the east coast to pursue her Broadway dreams and Jason’s Navy career. These two are so cute with each other. Jason had Vanessa cracking up left and right which makes for awesome shots. Such a love story is unique these days so you would have to expect a unique proposal, right??? Well… like a moment out of “Top Gun” our Navy man Jason proposed by standing on top of a bar in the middle of a club, stopping the music and garnering the attention of everybody there. He pulled his leading lady Vanessa up onto the bar with him and proposed right there! She said yes and Red Loft Studios is so lucky to share in their special day.

I met up with Meghan and Ted at one of their haunts, DiPiazza’s in Long Beach. Ted’s band frequents the stage at DiPiazza so we thought it would be the perfect location for our second engagement shoot. The cool red vinyl booths, vintage rock posters and punk rock vibe make this joint and add an extra element to our pictures.

On Saturday I met Adrian and Bret at the Surf and Sand Resort in Laguna Beach to photograph their wedding. It was a beautiful day and we were able to take advantage of both the surf and the sand. Before the ceremony we headed down to the beach and grabbed a few shots there. Then we utilized the garden to get some more up close and personal shots. Adrian and Brett are so cute together. And the extreme height difference only ads to their absolutely adorable appeal. I had such a fun day getting to hang out with them. Congratulations you two and have fun in Tahiti!

This past Sunday I met up with JoAnne and Brian to shoot their engagement session. We started at Alverno High School then headed to the Disney Concert Hall and ended at Union Station. What a day! Not only did I get to photograph some of Southern California’s finest architecture but I got to spend the day with a really fun-loving couple. These two were constantly cracking each other up and laughing. I’m telling you, they really get along… They should get married or something. I can’t wait to see the both of them again on their wedding day. How sweet!
