MOLAA Grand Opening Event

» Jenny
Jenny

Last night I had the pleasure of photographing the Exclusive Grand Opening Event for The Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach. It is one of our favorite spots in Long Beach to shoot weddings so it was nice to be a part of their gala event. Guests were able to sip champagne, browse the galleries, and meet some of the artists. I love supporting the arts in Long Beach and hope that you will also support the MOLAA and check out their great pieces on display.
Here are some of our Red Loft Studios favorites.

Katie and Justin’s Vintage Romance

» Katie
Katie

This past Sunday Charity and I had the pleasure of photographing Katie and Justin’s wedding at the Castle Green in Old Town Pasadena. The hotel which opened in 1899 next to Central Park in Pasadena served as a perfect backdrop for this vintage inspired wedding. The Spanish/Moorish architecture as well as the Turkish and Victorian style salons gave us so much inspiration that we were literally gushing every time we turned a corner. I have to be honest it wasn’t just the location but Katie’s dress that had me oh’ing and ah’ing. She was absolutely stunning and the picture perfect modern twist on a vintage bride. Katie and Justin were married in the Palm Tree Ballroom and then danced the night away under the stars at their own private garden party. Jazz filled the air as the guests lounged and sipped Scorppinos (lemon ice and champagne cocktails). Both Charity and I felt as though we had snuck onto the lot of some amazing period piece movie. Congratulations Katie and Justin. Thanks for letting us be a part of your truly beautiful wedding.

Meghan & Ted’s Excellent Adventure

My favorite rockers tied the knot on Saturday and oh what a party it was! The wedding was so Meghan and Ted. Hot cars, cool shoes, custom designed jewelry, and even a hot rod cake for Ted. I loved that their personalities shone through the whole event. Family and friends joined the couple for a Catholic ceremony at San Antonio de Padua church and then partied the night away at Coyote Hills Country Club in Fullerton. Congratulations to Meghan and Ted on getting hitched and throwing a very cool and unique wedding!!!

Suemee & Ritsu Fall in Love on the Sunset Strip

» Katie
Katie

Yesterday I met up with Suemee and Ritsu at Blowfish (www.blowfishsushi.com) on the Sunset Strip to share some laughs, get some fun shots, and eat some sushi. Suemee first starting coming to Blowfish for its fabulous food but soon found herself coming for the cute head chef, Ritsu! After some flirting across the sushi bar and a few sips of sake these two started dating and fell in love. I loved getting to see Ritsu do his thing creating some great tasting treats for his lovely lady. After our snack break we hit the strip and found some great spots for photos. Landmarks and alleyways were the perfect setting for these two who love roaming Sunset looking for the next great meal. Congratulations to Suemee and Ritsu!!!

Check out some of Red Loft Studios’ favorite shots of the day.

Matt and Jennifer

Last Saturday I met Matt and Jennifer at the Malibu Lake Mountain Club to celebrate their wedding. This location is so wonderful. You have a view of the mountains and access to the lake across the way. It really is the perfect spot for an outdoor wedding. Jennifer arrived and looked absolutely amazing in her wedding dress. Matt got a little emotional when he saw her for the first time which I thought was so sweet. These two are truly in love and such an adorable couple. I was honored to be part of such beautiful wedding. Congratulations!

Fola and Alvin’s Rancho Sol Del Pacifico wedding

» Jenny
Jenny

This weekend Andrea, Eva and I photographed the wedding of Fola and Alvin at the beautiful private estate in Malibu called Rancho Sol Del Pacifico. The pink colored estate is nestled in the hills high above Malibu and was the perfect setting for their colorful wedding. Fola and Alvin chose an array of flowers and linens in all sorts of radiant colors. It complimented the vibrant traditional African dress of most of the guests. The cermony was lively and emotional with a reading of vows by their pastor and then a Yoruba Reading and the jumping of the broom ritual. Fola and Alvin danced the night away amongst their family and friends and then headed off into the night for their honeymoon. Congratulations to you both and we wish you all the happiness in the world!

Here are some of our Red Loft Studios favorites.
