Fola and Alvin’s Rancho Sol Del Pacifico wedding

This weekend Andrea, Eva and I photographed the wedding of Fola and Alvin at the beautiful private estate in Malibu called Rancho Sol Del Pacifico. The pink colored estate is nestled in the hills high above Malibu and was the perfect setting for their colorful wedding. Fola and Alvin chose an array of flowers and linens in all sorts of radiant colors. It complimented the vibrant traditional African dress of most of the guests. The cermony was lively and emotional with a reading of vows by their pastor and then a Yoruba Reading and the jumping of the broom ritual. Fola and Alvin danced the night away amongst their family and friends and then headed off into the night for their honeymoon. Congratulations to you both and we wish you all the happiness in the world!
Here are some of our Red Loft Studios favorites.
Details from the day.

Fola: a bride who moonlights as a Doctor (ha ha ha).

Alvin: ex model, turned Doctor, turned groom.

I caught Fola’s loving gaze at her hubby-to-be while walking down the aisle!

Cocktail hour by the pool.

The reception on the tennis court.

It was also fun to see Fola and Alvin dress in their traditional Nigerian dress and dance the spray dance.

Fola and Alvin left the party through a sea of candlelight…so romantic.

Here’s the recipe to Fola and Alvin’s fabulous wedding.
Coordination: The Location Connection

We are still salivating over every exquisite moment . We renewed our vows as we listened to the wonderful things you shared with one another. We basked in the setting, the love, the joy, and the fellowship. We chased the waiters around for more and more of the deliciious filet mignon appetizer and then when we had the tuna tartare made another chase. The chase justified the gluttony. Every detail was tres extraordinaire. God’s majesty was evident in the flowers–what creations of splendor! I am happy to see these photos to relive the beauty of the day along with you. Thank you for sharing the day and for sharing these highlights.

Al and Fola,
Thank you for showing us a storybook wedding. Everything from the outhouse restrooms to the ride back to the hotel was absolutley beautiful. Since your wedding, we have attended two other weddings and I must say after seeing your wedding — you guys really out did yourselves. It’s very difficult for me to see the beauty in other wedding. We felt the warmth and the loving friendship throughout the ceremony. All the people at our table were very friendly and kind. We all exchanged e-mail addresses so we could stay in touch. The only thing we have to say is ” your wedding put Coming to America out of business” Thank you for inviting us to your very special day.
