Cristina and Lorin’s Wedding

» Andrea

Cristina and Lorin choose a great location for their wedding. One of my personal favorites, The Atheneum in Pasadena which is part of CalTech. The architecture and over all vibe of the venue is perfect for a wedding. Cristina looked absolutely beautiful in her dress.
To start off the day they had Mr. Dave on bagpipes. I do love a bagpipe player! After the ceremony everyone was getting down on the dance floor, what a great time! Congratulations!
to them both, they are an adorable couple.

Winn-Win Situation

Sunday I had the pleasure of spending the day with the Winn Family which consists of Dennis (one of the brains behind our website), his beautiful wife Nicole, and adorable daughter Ashlyn. It was so fun taking pictures in Central Park in Huntington Beach where we enjoyed nature then we braved the cold and headed to Seal Beach for sunset. This family was so much fun to be around. Their winning personalities had me charmed.

Here are some of Red Loft Studios favorites from the day.

Love, Marriage & a Baby Carriage

» Katie

Last week I met up with Morgan and Trevor at the Dana Point Harbor for the unique opportunity of photographing their wedding photos after they had already said “I Do.” Morgan and Trevor both said they new immediately that each one was the perfect match for the other. They fell in love and now are expecting their first baby, Lilly in September. For the wedding Morgan and Trevor made it official in a private ceremony stateside and then headed off to Figi for the celebration. We had so much fun capturing our “wedding” photos without the time constraints of an actual wedding. Trevor’s dad took us around the harbor on a yacht so we could get both an ocean view as well as the cliffs above the harbor. We then headed to the beach for any wedding photographer’s dream access to a private beach with a couple willing to do pretty much anything in their wedding attire. Congratulations to Morgan and Trevor and I can’t wait to meet Lilly!

Jason and Angela

Yesterday I met Jason and Angela at the Huntington Library Gardens to shoot their engagement photos. This location never fails to inspire me. It’s so beautiful and there are so many gardens to explore. We took advantage of the cactus garden, the lily ponds, and the Japanese garden. So amazing! Afterwards we headed to The Walt Disney Concert Hall to finish up. This is one of my favorite locations to shoot at. I find something new every time I go. I love the architecture and the downtown urban feel. We had a great time grabbing some fun shots. And Jason and Angela were such great models. By the end of the shoot they were pros. I can’t wait to see them again in August.

Kara and Brad at The Parker Palm Springs

» Jenny

Katie and I had the pleasure of photographing Kara and Brad’s wedding weekend in Palm Springs. It was a gorgeous event both on Friday and Saturday at The Parker Meridian in Palm Springs, which is the fabulously colorful former Givenchy Spa once owned by Merv Griffin. Friends and family participated in the festivities on Friday and Saturday with lots of singing, toasts, and plenty of dancing! It was great to see the love in the room for Kara and Brad because they are such a sweet couple. They are gracious and warm and made us feel like one of the guests. Thanks Kara and Brad and congratulations on a wonderful life together.

The Lewis family

» Tammy

Yesterday I met Jon, Darcy, and Claire at their home in Huntington Beach to take some family and maternity portraits. They have less than a month before the arrival of their new bundle of joy. And Claire is so excited to be a big sister. She kept curiously touching her mom’s belly and kissing it… how sweet. What a wonderful family! I feel fortunate to have been able to help document such a joyious expectation for them and I’m looking forward to photographing them again once the little guy arrives.
