Becky & Daniel in love in Chinatown

» Katie
Katie

Yesterday I had the best engagement session! I met up with Becky and Daniel in Chinatown for a photo shoot, some shopping, and a lot of laughs. I absolutely love how animated Becky and Daniel are. They were so willing to share themselves with me and let me experience part of their love for each other. Becky and Daniel are planning on incorporating much of the Chinese culture in their wedding. I loved hearing all about their wedding plans, as well as just hearing all about them. They really are as adorable together as they look. Congratulations guys!

Tawnya & Jeff Say I Do

» Katie
Katie

Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Tawnya and Jeff’s wedding at Santiago Oaks Regional Park in Orange. Tawnya found inspiration for her eclectic wedding from the pages of Anthropologie (a personal favorite) and of course the romantic outdoor setting. Each table had a different bouquet, which set atop a vintage plate or bowl and its own unique tea towel. Charity, Emily and I loved each thoughtful detail. From the custom sashes the bridesmaids wore to a pair of heart shaped ice cream cakes for Tawnya and Jeff. We had fun watching the guests get down to a live band with special guest performances by Tawnya’s family. The wedding was filled with warmth and sentiment just like Tawnya and Jeff. Congratulations you two, you are off to a beautiful start!

Cody and Jeremy…Sady too!

» Andrea

Last weekend I took a little drive to San Juan Capistrano to photograph Cody and Jeremy for their engagement portraits. We started at the San Juan Capistrano Mission then stopped off for a glass of wine. After all…they are lovers of the grape. Half way through our session we decided we had to go back to their house and pick up their adorable pup Sady. She joined us for the Salt Creek Beach part of our day. Jeremy grew up right in that area so he knew where all the sweet spots were. We chased the sun and got some great shots!

I can’t wait for the wedding you guys! Thanks for the fun day! Here are some of our

Charmaine and Hubert’s Cabo San Lucas wedding

» Jenny
Jenny

Last weekend Charity and I had the privilege of photographing Charmaine and Hubert’s wedding at the beautiful Esperanza Resort in Cabo San Lucas. Charmaine is so sweet to begin with so it was no surprise that she was the most relaxed bride. It really set the mood for the intimate wedding of their close friends and family. Hubert was just as calm, cool and collected, but he still managed to be quite a ham for the camera! It was a lot of fun being a part of their wedding and seeing how in love these two really are!

Gaby & Friends Get Down Saturday Night

» Katie
Katie

Saturday I attended one of the most awesome parties I’ve ever been to. What was the occasion and who was the guest of honor you ask??? Well let me tell you… friends and family came from near and far to celebrate Miss Gaby becoming a Bat Mitzvah. The ceremony took place at the historic Wilshire Boulevard Temple with a rock’n party to follow at casa de Gaby. The party kicked off at 7 with custom cocktails (adults only), a vintage photo booth, psychic, and airbrush tattoos. Some serious dancing went on well into the night and the wee hours of the morning. I think that if I could design the perfect party this would be it. Although the evening was amazing my favorite moments were hanging with the family while they were getting ready for the big night. We felt so at home and loved capturing everyone’s excitement. My only question is, can you have a Bat Mitzvah at 27 and if so will Liza and Matthew (Gaby’s rents) adopt me?
Check out some of the Red Loft Studios favorite moments from a truly fantastic celebration.

Jennette & Molly

» Katie
Katie

Emily (our newest addition to the loft) and I met up with Jennette and Molly in Jennette’s hometown of San Pedro.   Jennette is an architect so we wanted to incorporate some unique buildings and design into their photographs.  Downtown has a throw back feel to 50’s with its old theaters and vintage store fronts.  Refurbished Red Cars add to the antique feel of the city.  I loved taking photos on the old trains.  I felt like I was living a moment back in time.  They are so alive with color and romantic too, just like Jennette and Molly.  Emily and I both agree that J&M are so much fun to photograph.  Their love for each other is so apparent in the looks they give one another and the laughs they share.  We had a fabulous afternoon and we can’t wait for the wedding.
Thanks to Jennette for introducing us to San Pedro and all its amazing photo opportunities!
