The Wedding Celebration of Audrey and Gerald

» Andrea
Andrea

Audrey and Gerald met through mutual friends and have been inseparable even since. So, it was time to tie the knot and they found the Intercontinental in Century City to be perfect for their wedding. Surrounded by their closest friends and family they exchanged vows, had their first kiss as husband and wife and celebrated with great food and even some dancing!
They were such a cute couple. Kat and I had so much fun photographing them. We even got a few shots of Gerald’s Grandpa bustin’ a few moves on the dance floor.

To Audrey and Gerald…thanks for letting Red Loft be a part of your wedding day!

Marta and Michael

Yesterday I met Marta and Michael at the Huntington Library Gardens in San Marino to photograph their engagement photos. These two are so fun and playful and very comfortable in front of the camera. We had a great time getting creative and trying different shots. Once we finished up at the gardens we headed over to Old Town Pasadena to grab a few more photos. This is a great spot with a ton of photo ops around every corner. And we took advantage of as many as we could. What a fun day! I’m looking forward to seeing these two again in August.

Linda and David

On Saturday I met Linda and David at the Huntington Beach Hyatt to photograph their wedding. It was a perfect day with a perfectly intimate and beautiful ceremony overlooking the ocean. Linda looked stunning in her dress and David was calm, cool, and collected. They were so sweet with one another and definitely enjoyed every minute of their wedding. They really soaked it all up. And as they should… Congratulations you two!

Liz and Paul San Francisco Bride and Groom….LA engagements!

» Nikki

Saturday I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with Liz and Paul. We went to some of LA’s highlights, from the Hollywood setting to the the beautiful Getty Museum…we covered a lot of ground! They are big movie buffs and I thought Hollywood was perfect. They were able to get a little more intimate in the bright gardens at the Getty. I really enjoyed hanging out with them all day and hearing about Paul’s spoiled wedding proposal - Liz knew it was coming! Thanks for everything you two, and I can’t wait for your San Francisco wedding!

Tour des Artistes in Long Beach

» Jenny

evadx.jpgThis Saturday Red Loft Studios participated in the open loft walk at the Tour des Artistes in Downtown Long Beach. It was a lot of fun to open our doors to the public and give them a sneak peek as to what goes on inside Red Loft Studios. It was also fun to walk around and see all the other lofts in the Downtown and East Village areas of Long Beach. The artist who live in Long Beach are very warm and inviting and welcomed us into their workspaces. Several people even hosted gallery showings of student artwork from Cal State University Long Beach. It was a lot of fun and a great excuse to walk around and see what goes on in the art community around the city.
I took a few pictures of Red Loft Studios for those of you who haven’t been able to come in. Feel free to give us a call if you ever want to make an appointment to stop by and check out what’s happening at the loft.

This is where we sit and look at our albums with clients…it’s my great grandma’s old kitchen table. I love it!

Our neighbor Rowan stopped by to sit on the velvet couch and chit chat (I think she secretly wants one in her loft).

Cathy and Jeff’s Historical Wedding

» Tammy
Tammy

Last Saturday I met Cathy and Jeff at the San Buenaventura Mission in Ventura to photograph their wedding. This place has so much amazing history that comes along with it. It is the ninth and last mission founded in California way back in 1782. And it is absolutely gorgeous! We were able to get some really great shots here… inside as well as outside. Afterwards we headed to the Pierpont Inn which also comes along with a bit of history. It was built in 1910 to accomodate the uprising auto enthusiasts who where traveling up and down the coast. Well it was more than adequate at accomodating Cathy and Jeff’s guests as well as creating a perfect backdrop for their reception. There are plenty of gardens throughout to take advantage of as well as an amazing view of the ocean. What a way to celebrate such a special day. Congratulations you two!
