This Saturday I was in Saratoga, in Northern CA shooting the wedding of an old highschool friend, Brett and his new wife Kelly. The setting was gorgeous. They got married at the The Paul Mason Mountain Winery, which is also a concert venue. It was the perfect setting for their wedding since they both LOVE music. The views are amazing from this place and it was a gorgeous day. It was nice being a part of such a loving wedding. Congratulations Brett and Kelly.

Last Wednesday I made the drive up to Alamo, in Northern CA to take some pictures for the sale of a 5 million dollar home set atop the trees in the Silicon Valley. It is a gorgeous home designed by a local Long Beach Architectural firm called Interstices. They did a gorgeous job on the house which has breathtaking views of the valley and and surrounding homes. The infinity pool was my favorite and unfortunately my job didn’t require me to go into it….but I really wanted to.

Saturday I met up with Kate and Mark at the Getty to check out some art and make some of our own. Kate and Mark met the very first day of school at Chapman University and have been together ever since. They had their first date at the Getty so we figured it would be the best spot for their engagement photos. I loved hearing their story while we roamed the grounds and galleries in search of fantastic photos. Mark had both of us Katies in stiches with his jokes and imitations of the statues. Thanks for a wonderful day and Congratulations!

This Saturday I made the drive down to San Diego for the wedding of Jennie and David and the Hotel del Coronado. It was a beautiful day on Coronado Island for a wedding. The hotel is stunning to begin with, and then you add an extremely gorgeous couple and it makes for a perfect wedding day. Jennie and David are so cute together and they have some really adorable kids as well. Jennie let me know that this day was not just about her and David, but about their family and friends as well. I was very happy to be a part of such a loving wedding. Congratulations Jennie, David, and the kids!

Today I photographed portraits of little Jonah for his parents, Samantha and Noah. Although Jonah had just gotten shots a few hours earlier, he braved through the photo shoot with only a few protests. Once we got Jonah outside on the grass, he barely even cared that I was taking his photo. This is Samantha and Noah’s first baby and it was nice to get to spend a few hours at their house and hear all their fantastic stories about the little guy. It seems he really likes his Grandma too, who was there to help us out on the shoot.

It was great meeting you Jonah. I can’t wait to see you next time!

This past weekend Charity and I had the pleasure of hanging with Libby, Dave, Kobe, Sucia, and all their friends and family in La Jolla to celebrate their wedding. The festivities began at sunset on Friday evening with an informal welcome dinner at Cody’s Restaurant and continued on with 18 holes at Torrey Pines and a fabulous wedding and reception at the Museum of Contemporary Art in La Jolla on Saturday. Libby put her artistic nature to work and created a hip, colorful, and most importantly playful feel to their wedding. The museum was decorated head to toe in bright oranges, deep blues and hints of greens. Dave and Libby even thought to create a pirate theme kids room for their littler guests. The night was full of laughs, heartfelt speeches, and some pretty amazing dance moves. Every aspect of the wedding was so thoughtful and full of meaning for Dave and Libby. We had a fabulous time and felt honored to be a part of Dave and Libby’s big day.
