Jenny and Scott

Last Saturday I photographed Jenny and Scott’s wedding at Shutters in Santa Monica. It was such a gorgeous day for photos. The sun was out, the sky was blue, and the bride and groom looked amazing. Jenny and Scott live in New York and had friends and family fly in from all over. It was such a warm, heart felt day. I enjoyed being a part of such a wonderful celebration. Congratulations you two and good luck with everything in your future.

Emily’s flying the coop…..

Yesterday Charity and I took Emily and Joey out and about Pasadena to shoot their engagement photos before they head out on the road to their new life in Portland. Emily recently graduated college and was our intern at the loft over the summer. Now Emily and her finace are off to Portland where she will start her own photography business after their wedding in September. It was great having Emily in the loft with us and she will be missed! Look out for Emily hitting the photography scene in Portland.

You go Emily…..

Rachel and Eddie

Yesterday I met Rachel and Eddie at the Huntington Library Gardens to photograph their engagement session. And despite the heat we had a lot of fun taking advantage of all the photo ops around the gardens. Rachel even brought a parasol to add a little flirty flare to the photos. Afterwards we headed to the Santa Monica Pier where we finished up with some beach shots. These two were so playful and natural in front of the camera. Eddie even twirled Rachel, who’s a dancer, in the sand… so sweet. I’m really looking forward to seeing them again on their wedding day.

Adrienne and James

On Saturday Kat and I photographed Adrienne and James as they tied the knot in Long Beach. When James and Adrienne first met, he asked her to dance. Adrienne, loving to dance, couldn’t resist and on Saturday they got to share their first dance as husband and wife. It was a perfect day for their outdoor ceremony and for a stroll in the park. They were so much fun to be around! James was such a good sport as he carried our “props” while Adrienne enjoyed the sand on her feet. When we got back to the reception after our little photo safari, the party was already in full swing. Adrienne and James hired a 12 band to show their guests a good time. All you had to do was watch the couple on the dance floor and you could tell right away how in love they were.

Friday the 13th doesn’t have to be scary.

Last Friday…Friday the 13th, Charity and I visited the Hotel Roosevelt for the wedding of Bridgette and Travis. The couple lives in the midwest but loves Los Angeles and decided the Hotel Roosevelt was the perfect location for their unique wedding. They had about 20 guests which made it easy for everyone to be involved in the ceremony. It was a pleasure photographing Bridgette and Travis and the great details that the hotel had to offer. Congratulations to you both!

“May I pronounce, the bride and groom!”

Last Sunday Katie and I photographed the wedding of Tony and Lindsay. They got married at the Victorian, a quaint little venue in Santa Monica. We had a great time walking around the area and finding some great hidden locations to photograph the new bride and groom. Not to mention the great spots at the Victorian. We captured one of my favorite shots from the wedding while they prepared for their first dance. Here are a few Red Loft Studios images of the newlyweds on their happy day!
