Pomme Bebe Grand Opening Event

» Jenny
Jenny

Yesterday was the grand opening for Pomme Bebe in Newport Beach. Red Loft Studios was there to help celebrate the hugely succesful event. Pomme Bebe is a gourmet organic baby food company with a great location in Newport Beach. They have a baby food tasting bar where your baby can sit in one of their funky Bloom highchairs and taste the freshly made samples of the day before you purchase. They even have a fun play area where moms and babies can have play dates. On the day of the opening everyone celebrated Halloween by dressing up in their costumes and participating in games, making art projects, and winning prizes in the costume contest. Everyone was having so much fun and Red Loft Studios was there to document the good time. Congratulations to Pomme Bebe.

Which way to the wedding?

» Andrea
Andrea

Natalie and Elliot had quite a shock when they woke up the morning of their wedding day and discovered that they along with their 130 guests would be celebrating in a very different way then they had planned. You see, their wedding location had changed unexpectedly several hours before their wedding. So what did they do? They went with it…and made it great!
Tammy and I found some great picture spots for their new urban wedding and the wedding party gladly joined in.
I was so amazed with the couple and how everything came together. From the chuppah to the cupcake tower, it was a fabulous wedding. Congratulations you guys. I’m so happy for you!

Kate & Mark Celebrate in Style

» Katie
Katie

Kate and Mark met at Chapman University as freshman and after a first date spent dancing under the stars (on the roof of a parking structure) to John Mayer’s St. Patrick’s Day these two knew they had something special.  So it seemed fitting that these two would take the next step in their relationship a few blocks from where they first met at St. Johns church.  Even better it was the same church where Kate’s mom and dad were married and began their lives together.  Throughout the day small details gave the wedding an aura of intimacy which made us feel part of the family.  Kate carried flowers wrapped in lace from her mother’s dress, the wring bearer carried a Chapman pillow, special desserts where passed out in honor of Kate and Mark’s grandparents, and of course the first dance was to John Mayer’s St. Patrick’s Day.  Family and friends gathered at Strawberry Farms to celebrate Kate and Mark’s big day.  The barn was decorated with beautiful candelabras, wine colored flowers, and antique lanterns.  The wedding was absolutely elegant and had a wonderful feeling of classic Americana.  Of course my favorite details were the antique photo booth and cupcakes from Sprinkles.  Such a fabulous wedding!

The Chapin Family

Last Wednesday I got to spend the afternoon with one of my favorite families, the Chapins.  This was my second time photographing the family of 7 and once again I had so much fun.   Its one of the great joys of my job to be able to watch families grow and develop.  The kids are always so easy to work with and make me laugh through the whole session.  Monica and Tom aka mom and dad have been together since high school and are so obviously still so in love. They always set a playful tone for our shoots which makes it easy to capture everyone as they really are.  Check out some of our Red Loft Studios favorite moments from my afternoon with the Chapin family…..

Rock, Paper, Scissors, LOVE…Alisha and Michael in Newport Beach.

Monday I met up with Alisha and Michael to take some engagement photos and do what they love to do best….play bocce ball, have some coffee, and kid around. Alisha and I already had a bond. We went to the same high school, both love photography, and have left our hearts in San Francisco. However when I finally got to meet her and Michael I totally fell in love and had such a blast hanging out with them. My favorite thing about them as a couple is their constant ability to make each other laugh…sometimes even at me. They thought it was so funny that I kept saying how CUUUUUTEEE they were. They were so at ease and animated with me. I love that. I could really tell that they are perfect compliments for each other. Check out some of our Red Loft Studios favorite photos of Alisha and Michael in love….

These two love to Bocce Ball and are having a tournament at their rehearsal dinner.

Jesse’s Girl

» Katie
Katie

Saturday night Kat and I had the pleasure of photographing Becky and Jesse’s wedding at the Biltmore in downtown Los Angeles. Everything about this wedding was completely unique to Becky and Jesse’s personalities and style. Becky and Jesse met in art school at Otis and paired their artistic sensibilities with Becky’s mom Wendy, a professional wedding planner, and put together one of the coolest weddings I have ever seen. The ballroom at the Biltmore already grand was decked out in feathers, flowers, and beads. Guests enjoyed everything from sushi to candied apples at this wedding. And of course my favorite mini individual wedding cakes for the guests topped with a Lego bride and groom. More than any of the decorations the room was full of love for these two. We loved watching them laugh through their awesome choreographed first dance and exchanges smiles and kisses with each other all night. I had so much fun finding new ways to photograph this artistic pair. Check out some of our Red Loft Studios favorite images from Becky and Jesse’s wedding below…
I loved Becky’s modern take on the traditional veil which Becky’s mom Wendy made for her.
