Sasha and Romy’s Winter Wedding at the Four Season’s

» Jenny

Last Saturday we headed out to Beverly Hills to photograph the beautiful wedding of Sasha and Romy at the Four Season’s. The day was gorgeous with bright blue skies, crisp temperatures, and not a cloud to be seen. It made for some great photo weather! Because it gets darker earlier, we started our day with photos of Sasha and Romy. It was nice to be able to do all of the photos first, so that the bride and groom could relax and enjoy their party without interruption. And let me tell you….it was a party! The dancefloor was NEVER empty! Sasha and Romy’s wedding was elegant, sophisticated, and definitely fun!

Congratulations you two! Here are some of our Red Loft Studios favorites!

The ceremony was a blast! The bridal party and family members walked down the aisle to upbeat, fun music and the audience ate it up! They were cheering and clapping and snapping pictures. It was a lot like a red carpet movie premeire!

Romy’s parents walked him down the aisle.

Sasha’s parents walked her halfway down the aisle so Romy could meet them halfway.

The reception was equally just as upbeat and fun. Guests entered through a walkway of draped organza, highlighted by crystal chandeliers. Everyone was treated to several types of food with chefs positioned throughout the room. They had sushi, crepes, a chocolate fountain, espresso bar, and several areas of the most magnificent looking fruits and cakes. It was definitely a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach! The band was one of the best I have ever seen. They all played several different instruments and actually got into the crowd and danced while playing. It really set the party tone!
Some details at the reception.

The first dance was amazing….The band played a song by Sting, and the saxophone player actually walked around them on the dance floor serenading the two. It gave me chills just watching!

Red Loft Studios put up a “photobooth” photo studio where guests could get their photos taken. Guest really get into this!

Check out all the fun that was going on.

Sara & Josh….Eat Your Heart Out Tyra Banks!

Saturday I met with Sara and Josh for an afternoon of fun and photos.  We got warmed up at the Long Beach Nature Center with its beautiful fall colors and many private pathways. Once I got Josh and Sara laughing and feeling comfortable in front of the camera I got to see their inner super models come out, and boy are these two fierce!  They did such a wonderful job and had me laughing the whole session.  We then moved our photo party to Seal Beach to catch the sunset.  I had such a great afternoon photographing Sara and Josh.  I can’t wait for the wedding next September.   Congratulations!!!!

Dude, where’s my dude ranch?

» Jenny

Ok…so it wasn’t a dude ranch, but the Cooke girls have been to a dude ranch and they loved it so much that we decided to take some family pictures at what looks like a dude ranch! It was fun hanging with Malia, Ella, Riley, and Missy (aka Mom) for the afternoon while getting some fun shots around their house. We started at the horse stables nearby because of the cool red barn and then ended at the park for a little fun on the monkey bars. I do have to say that I feel guilty calling this work because I had so much fun today! I even ended my treacherous workday with a frolic on the trampoline. Boy this is tough! And Mom makes a mean lasagna so I had to stay for dinner…YUMMY!

Introducing Benjamin Brodie

» Katie
Katie

Mike and Rachael welcomed Benjamin Sawyer Brodie on October 13, 2007. I had the pleasure of photographing Mike and Rachael’s wedding in 2005. I was so delighted to meet the new addition to the Brodie family. He was a great model, showing off his new smiling skills. I had a great time with the whole family capturing these new moments between mom, dad, and baby. Check out some of our Red Loft Studios favorite images of Benjamin Brodie below…
