Skip’n our way through Cabo…

This past weekend Charity and I headed out to Cabo San Lucas Mexico to photograph the wedding of Andrea and Jim Skipsey. The weather was gorgeous for us at a cool 82 degrees (we heard it was close to 100 degrees in LA….!). The rehearsal dinner was held at the Jockey Club on Friday night for all of the guests who made it down to Cabo. This was the beginning of the ultra fun festivities! Saturday was the main event with the wedding ceremony in San Jose, followed by the reception on the beach. Andrea and Jim were married at the beautiful Church of San Jose which was built in 1940, in the same location where Jesuit Priest’s originally established the San Jose del Cabo Mission in 1730. San Jose is a gorgeous authentic Mexican town and was the perfect setting for the ceremony. After the ceremony, guests headed back to the beach, where the reception was held. The cocktail hour was held on the bluff under a palapa where guests sipped mint juleps, an homage to Andrea and Jim’s college days at SMU (that’s where they met!).
From the palapa, guests were led by tikki torches to the beautifully tented beach where the reception was held. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a beach light up like that before! Andrea and Jim had such a wonderful mix of friends and family surrounding them and it was easy to see how much they all loved them!
Congratulations Andrea and Jim! We are so glad we were a part of your beautiful wedding day!
Here are some of our Red Loft Studios favorites.
