Megan & Jon’s Fiesta

Saturday Andrea and I headed out to Claremont to take part in Megan and Jon’s super cool fiesta. Megan and Jon wanted to create an intimate, laid back, funky feel for their wedding and reception and boy did they do a fabulous job. The wedding ceremony took place at the Webb Chapel and was officiated by friend and former Red Loft groom Daniel Lai. It was absolutely beautiful and a wonderful mix of family tradition and style. Mariachi serenaded Megan as she walked down the aisle of the adobe chapel. Simple candlelight glowed over the two as they read personal letters to each other and exchanged personalized vows. Just before the kiss Megan and Jon along with their parents took part in a tartan tying ceremony to symbolize the joining of the two families. It was so moving I even had tears in my eyes. Such wonderful and thoughtful moments. I could really see their personalities shine through every moment of the day. The details at the reception were by far the most creative and unique I have ever seen. A variety of cacti, colorful draping and linens, a sweet vintage inspired lounge, freshly made tortillas put together right before your eyes, and maracas were just some of my favorite details which created the hip fiesta feel in the family’s backyard. Ian from Red Shoe got the party started right with throw back songs that got everyone dancing. The reception was so fun and relaxed that Andrea and I are now both inspired to have our own backyard weddings. Megan and Jon did such an amazing job creating a truly unique and fun fiesta wedding. Congratulations you two!
