Abby and Lisa’s Halloween day wedding

» Jenny

Today I had the pleasure of spending Halloween with a really great couple. Abby and Lisa exchanged vows at the Old Orange County Courthouse and I tagged along to take some pictures of the event. Before I could let the two get married, I dragged them to the beach to take some pre-ceremony shots. I got really lucky with the weather. It was raining when I woke up, but by the time we started shooting, the clouds parted and the sun came out. It was definitely a sign of good things to come for Abby and Lisa. After our photo shoot we made our way to the courthouse where Abby and Lisa were married by a “Dracula” Judge (it is Halloween after all!). It was a beautiful ceremony and the two were greeted outside the courthouse by their dog Toby, the best man. Congratulations you two and thanks for including me in your day!

The Paz Clan

It has been a few years since I’ve seen the Paz family. In fact, Paris was only about 2 and Karla was pregnant with Capri. They’ve added a few little ones to the brood in the meantime and now the Paz’s equal 6! This family is not only big in size, but big in making me laugh. I couldn’t stop cracking up at trying to get everyone in one place at the same time. If you can believe it, we were able to coral the clan, and get them to make some funny faces at the camera. It was a blast! This family is super sweet and I’m so lucky to be part of their family memories!

Cade gives us his best “Zoolander”

My clients Diane and Clay had a baby boy in May and I got to meet the little guy on Thursday. Cade is adorable and so sweet. He endured his first photo shoot like a true supermodel. He only demanded a bottle break once, and he never threw his cell phone at his assistant (his mom)! So all in all, the shoot went well and Cade took a really long nap the second the camera was turned off. Check out how cute little Cade is.

Pictures with Morey…

This past Sunday Kristi, Mike, and their little pup Morey and I played in the sun and fog in San Francisco. We started off in the warmth at the Palace of Fine Arts, then traveled into Chrissy Field, which was overcast – with no view of the Golden Gate Bridge. We made the best of it, and Morey had a top notch day. The best part of it all? It was Kristi’s Birthday!! I can’t believe she let me put her through torture on her birthday.. ha ha. We had a blast. I brought balloons to play with… that popped. However one was salvaged and we certainly utilized it! Being new to the Bay Area, they got to experience new sites and the changing weather of the fall. Sunny one day, foggy the next. We decided to extend our engagement session for early spring… on a day that you can see the Golden Gate, and hopefully not in fog.

I can’t wait for the second shoot! Happy Birthday Kristi!!

Rebecca, Barrett and Ella say cheese!

Back in 2005 I photographed the wedding of Rebecca and Barrett. Now, they have a little daughter named Ella and we met up again at the San Clemente pier to take some photos of the family for their holiday cards. I have to say, Ella is quite the cutie pie. She has these blonde curls that are just adorable! It was so great to see Rebecca and Barrett exchange vows and profess their love for each other, and now a few years later, see them as parents. They are so loving and proud of their little girl. I’m so happy for you guys! Thanks for the opportunity to meet Ella and hang out with the family for an afternoon of photos.

Catching up with the Ruitens

Today I met the Ruiten family in Laguna to take some family photos. It’s been a few years since I have seen them and boy have they grown! Emily, the 5th grader is almost as tall as me and Cole is all grown up and full of enthusiasm. We had a great time climbing on the rocks, rolling in the sand, and almost getting wet! I’m so glad I get to be a part in documenting their family memories! Thanks for sharing the afternoon with me.

All work and no play makes Cole and Emily…..well….bored!

I had to catch mom and dad alone for a few pictures.
