Today I photographed the wedding of Lisa and Clipper at the gorgeous Madison in downtown Long Beach. It was a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony and reception with dimly lit chandeliers, hand painted murals, dark wood panel walls, and even a red carpet entrance. Lisa and Clipper exchanged vows in front of family and friends and then we headed out to the water to catch some photos of the Long Beach coast line. I was happy for the opportunity to photograph their day because I think they are such a sweet and genuine couple. They laugh a lot and that’s a sure sign of two people in love. Congrats to you!

Today I had a quick shoot to take some pics for Mary and Derek’s save the date card. They are super cute and playful and we had a blast. Here’s my Red Loft favorites from the session.

On Saturday, Katie and I headed out to photograph the wedding of Jacqui and Greg at The Beverly Hills Hotel. “The Pink Palace” as it’s known locally, was the perfect setting for this fairytale wedding. Jacqui’s daughter Sophie was the cutest flower girl and stole the show walking down the aisle! The ballroom was impecably decorated with beautifully arranged flowers and candles adorned every table. Greg and Jacqui make such a sweet couple and their wedding was filled with so many family and friends who love them. Congrats you two!

There are some outrageously talented stylists coming out of the Paul Mitchell School in San Diego. And it’s probably because it’s run by some really hard working, and creative people. So since they are updating their website they asked me to take some portraits of the staff. We also snuck in some shots of the school itself. It’s a beautiful old bank building in Downtown San Diego. So if you’re thinking of entering the world of hair, this is definitely the place to be. Check out some of our Red Loft favorites from the day.

Today I had the pleasure of photographing the family portraits for some of my old clients. Jen and Rick were married back in 2004 and we finally met up again to get some shots of the products of that day….little Leo and Everisto. Since the family was staying at a hotel, we decided to hit up the big comfy bed and get some shots lounging in the room. It was super fun and I love how intimate the pictures are. Leo is quite the model and had no problem smiling for the camera and helping his new brother do the same. Check out some of our Red Loft favorites…

When a couple meets singing karaoke you know they have to be tons of fun and will definitely put on a very unique wedding. I was absolutely not let down when I attended Amy and Jake’s wedding last week on the Santa Monica Pier. Rides, games, carousels and cotton candy set the backdrop for a wedding full of fun and “marryment.” We had so much fun finding inspiration on the boardwalk. I LOVED all the lights and color. Amy and Jake said “I do” in the carousel room…by far one of the most fabulous settings for a wedding ever! Friends and family joined in the ceremony with readings from Shakespeare to Axl Rose. During the reception guests enjoyed carousel rides, gourmet cupcakes and karaoke. Jake got the party started with a very funny version of “Under the Sea” and the night took off from there. I was so thrilled to be a part of their special day. Congratulations Amy & Jake. Keep the “marryment” going!
