So I guess we didn’t break any records, but it was still a hot one out there today. My poor clients John and Caitlin braved the heat and hung out with me for the afternoon while I took their engagement photos. They were good sports and we had a lot of fun shooting around Pasadena. Caitlin is quite the ham and her giggling is infectious. I was cracking up the whole time and I think John, who is less of a ham but still great in front of the camera, caught a bit of the laughing bug too. We stopped at the place where Caitlin and John met for the first time. Actually it’s the place they re-met, since they have actually known each other since middle school but didn’t start dating until years after high school. It was fun seeing their old stomping grounds and just getting to know them better. They are so sweet and so in love with each other. You can’t help but smile when you see them together! Congrats you two.

Gabriela and Ben are cousins so it’s only natural that they would want to be in a photo shoot together. Gabi is a real sweatheart and loves her baby cousin to death. She helped me to get some adorable shots of the little guy. Of course Gabi also wanted to play and so we did just that. She has the coolest playhouse and swing set in her backyard! Check out some of the fun images we got while I followed the two around on their play day adventures.

On Saturday Katrina and Patrick finally said their “I do’s” after 12 years. How cute is that? They were high school sweethearts and now they are Mr. and Mrs. Katrina and Patrick held their ceremony at Our Lady of Refuge in Long Beach. Then they packed all their closest friends and family onto The Big Red Bus and headed over to Shoreline Park for some fun photos and not to mention some great photo opts on the bus. Then the reception was held at the Hyatt where this crowd really got it going! The room was full of laughs and heartfelt speeches. You can tell that everyone really cares deeply about the bride and groom… there was a lot of love in the room. I’m so happy for Katrina and Patrick. Congratulations you two!

Today I met up with Erika and Kyle to shoot their engagement photos. I headed out to Pasadena where we got some great shots in the garden of Kyle’s parents house. Erika and Kyle both grew up in Pasadena so for our engagement photos we decided to keep it local and shoot in their neighborhood. After shooting around the garden, we headed to The Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens. Although it was getting a bit toasty outside, we were able to beat the heat and walk around most of the gardens. It was a gorgeous day with beautiful blue skies and we had a ton of fun hanging out and getting to know each other better. Erika and Kyle are such a sweet couple and it is going to be so much fun being a part of their wedding in June!
