Yissa & Kevin at the Disney Concert Hall

» Katie
Katie

Over the holiday weekend I met up with Yissa and Kevin at the Disney Concert Hall for part one of our two part engagement photo adventure. Yissa and Kevin are both architects so it seemed only fitting that we use one of downtown LA’s most famous buildings as a backdrop for the photos. We found amazing photo opportunities hidden behind the curves of the building and in the reflections of the metal surfaces. As we roamed the grounds I got to know Yissa and Kevin and hear all of their wonderful wedding plans. I can’t wait until August for their wedding at Wayfarer’s Chapel and then for part two of our engagement adventure in Vegas!

I can’t help it. I just love this photo. It makes me laugh just like Yissa.

Stephanie and Jacob’s engagement session at the beach

» Jenny
Jenny

On Monday I headed out to photograph the engagement photos of Stephanie and Jacob. We started out in Venice at Abbot Kinney where we strolled the streets and utilized the colorful background of the buildings. Stephanie and Jacob are so much fun together. They were twirling around and making funny faces the whole time. It was definitely easy to photograph these two together! After we left Venice, we headed out to the Santa Monica pier. We walked around the games, hit up the hot dog on a stick, jumped on the swings and then walked along the boardwalk. It was a great way to spend the day and get to know these two better. I’m looking forward to being a part of their wedding day in July!

Rain, Rain, go away

» Jenny
Jenny

On Sunday I met up with Jennifer and Brian for their afternoon engagement session in San Diego. We literally just beat the rain! It started to sprinkle for our last few shots. We had such a blast hanging out despite the pending doom of a storm. Jennifer and Brian are so cute together and VERY good looking so it made it that much easier for me to shoot. They definitely have chemistry together and it really shows in how playful they are together. I feel so lucky to have met them and even luckier that I’ll be a part of their big day. I can’t wait to meet all of their family and friends. I’m sure they’re just as sweet as they are!

Congratulations you two!

Jamaica me crazy

» Jenny
Jenny

I know, I know… I have the best job in the world. I get to travel to gorgeous beaches and photograph some really awesome people. I’m definitely not complaining. So anyway, that’s exactly what I did last week. I traveled to Jamaica and I photographed the wedding of Margo and Jerome. They happen to be the coolest people on earth and I’m not just saying that since they flew us to Jamaica! Margo and Jerome are two people who were made for each other. Katie and I kept commenting how sweet they were together and how sweet they were to us. We felt like family from the second we arrived. Margo and Jerome celebrated their nuptials at one of the premiere hotels in Jamaica, The Rockhouse. This boutique hotel sits atop rocky cliffs which overlook the crystal blue waters of Pristine Cove in the city of Negril. It was the perfect setting for Margo and Jerome’s romantic wedding getaway. I have so many photos I want to share of this beautiful couple so check out some of our Red Loft Studios favorites.

JUNE 26th- Pre-Wedding Photo Shoot

We took some photos around the town of Negril on the day we arrived. What a blast!

JUNE 27th- The Wedding Day

The wedding day started very unconventionally with Margo and Jerome getting ready together in their room. I absolutely loved it! There’s nothing sweeter than sharing in the anticipation together.

JUNE 30- Post wedding exploring

After several days of laying by the pool, relaxing, and going to the spa, Katie and I headed out on a group excursion with Margo, Jerome and some of the guests.  With the help of Robert from Kenny Tours, we saw some of what the island has to offer; The Mayfield Falls, The Black River, the Appleton Rum Distillery, and my personal favorite, The Pelican bar.

The group…

Kristi and Mike and lil’ Morey too!

» Nikki
Nikki

This past weekend Kristi, Mike and I headed to Baker Beach to finish their engagement shoot. We missed the boat last time due to the fog in the bay, but Friday was gorgeous! It was absolutely perfect weather, well it was a little chilly and Kristi was quite the sport in her dress! They brought Morey out once again… he definitely has grown in these past monts, but still as rambunctious as ever! I can’t wait for their wedding THIS Friday at the Chateau St Jean in Sonoma. See you guys soon!

Tony and Christina’s day in Venice

» Jenny
Jenny

On Saturday I had the pleasure of meeting up with Tony and Christina to shoot their engagement photos in Venice beach at the canals. It was so much fun getting to hang out with the two of them and look at all of the amazing houses. Tony is going to school to be an architect so it was especially fun to hear him talk about all of the amazing architecture on some of these homes. Tony and Christina are so cute together and it makes me smile to be a part of two people getting read to spend the rest of their lives together (I’m such a sap!).
