This weekend Liesel and Gary celebrated their marriage with a weekend event at St. Malo, a private beach front community in Oceanside built in the 1920’s. The Normandy inspired architecture of the cottages and the charm of the beachfront cabana was the perfect setting for such a beautiful event. The wedding day was the highlight of the weekend with guests meeting at the cabana on the beach to watch Liesel and Gary exchange vows under a twisted branch canopy. From the beach, through Gigi’s garden (Liesel’s grandmother), an then on to the tented tennis courts, guest found themselves underneath an umbrella of lights and candles. The food was completely organic and the tabletops were decorated with oranges, gourds, succulents, and potted orchids. Liesel and Gary threw a party to remember and their wedding day was one that nobody will ever forget. Thank you for including us in your beautiful wedding. We wish you both a happy and healthy marriage!

Shutters in Santa Monica was the setting for Susan and Michael’s beachside Fall wedding. It was a gorgeous day with blue skies for miles and just a hint of an ocean breeze. Susan and Michael were the epitome of relaxed and stress free on their wedding day. We had tons of fun hanging out and grabbing pictures around the hotel and on the beach. The bridal party was so playful and ready to laugh that I didn’t even have to break out my cheesey jokes! I think my favorite part of the day was the dancing. There were some fun moves out there and before we knew it, poor Michael got dragged into the debauchery. It was a blast being a part of Susan and Michael’s wedding as well as sharing in the laughter with their family and friends. We wish you both the best!

Kaitlin and Rob’s wedding in Malibu at Saddlerock Ranch was such a spectacular event. Not only are Kaitlin and Rob super sweet, they have some pretty great family and friends. You could just feel the love in the air for the two of them! The wedding ceremony was held under a huge sycamore tree in the middle of the ranch and set the tone for the nature inspired event. Their attendants walked down the river rock lined aisle carrying branches which were placed in a moss covered vase under the chuppah. Kaitlin and Rob then sealed their vows by planting a tree in honor of their love for each other. The cocktail hour and reception were held in the candlelit orchard where lights draped the trees like beautiful sparkling swatches of moss. The tables were decorated with glass terrariums filled with ferns and each guest was given the gift of a planted tree in their honor. It was a gorgeously decorated event in celebration of the love that Kaitlin and Rob share. Congratulations you two!

Saturday Liz and Elgin gathered their family and friends high above the Pacific at Malibu’s Rancho del Cielo to celebrate their wedding. These two are so creative and share a passion for filmmaking and the arts. Their creativity shone through in all the beautiful details of the day. My favorite moment of the day was during the ceremony when Liz and Elgin proclaimed that if they were to live 4 lifetimes they would want it to be with the other. Soooooo sweet, I loved that. After the ceremony guests enjoyed a beautiful garden reception with a distinct vintage feel. DJ Senor Amor spun everything from old school jazz to Liz and Elgin’s favorite rock classics. The evening was absolutely amazing. So classic, so romantic, so fun. Congratulations Liz and Elgin!

Last Saturday Katherine and I drove up to Malibu to photograph Katie and Joe’s wedding at the beautiful Adamson House. I love this location and was instantly excited when the couple told me they were getting married there. When we arrived, Katie was just putting on her gorgeous Nicole Miller gown. She looked just stunning in it! After a few shots of the bride and groom getting ready for the day, it was time for the exchanging of the rings which was held on the lawn under the old sycamore tree, overlooking the ocean. Friends of the couple performed the service, played the piano as they walked down the aisle and read a poem during the ceremony. During the cocktail hour Katie and Joe’s guests spent some time touring the historic Adamson home while we took a stroll around the property photographing the newly married couple.
The rest of their evening was spent dancing, laughing and enjoying homemade cupcakes. Katherine and I spent the rest of the night making sure we captured just how much fun they were having.

On Saturday I headed to Descanso Gardens in La Canada to photograph Lindsey and Christopher’s wedding. This is a beautiful and serene location to exchange vows. The ceremony was held in an open field surrounded by lush trees and a Coy pond. And just a few steps away was a gorgeous Japanese garden complete with foot bridges and winding paths. And let’s not forget how amazing Lindsey looked in her champagne colored dress… breathtaking! And Christopher was GQ’ing it in his suit and tie. I must say that these two are fabulous! And so are their family and friends. This crowd really knows how to have a good time. Once we made it to the reception it was non-stop dancing in between some very comedic toasts. And it didn’t stop there, the after party headed to the Langham hotel in Pasadena where the fun continued. I’m so glad I got to share in this day with them. It was a blast! Congratulations you two.
