Elizabeth and Chad Celebrate at the Korakia in Palm Springs

» Katie
Katie

One of the greatest joys of my job is getting the opportunity to take part in some of the happiest moments in people’s lives. I love seeing the tears, hearing the laughter and especially experiencing in the beauty of the day. Every time I am invited to be part of a wedding I get so excited to see the unique take each couple has on such an old and honored tradition. Elizabeth and Chad’s take on “the big day” was truly cool, completely unique, and amazingly fun. Not even a little rain could dampen the festivities. Guests gathered at the Korakia hotel in Plam Springs for a weekend of celebration. This hip boutique hotel boasts a Moroccan flavor which can be seen in every arched doorway, colorful lantern, and tiled fountain. Liz and Chad took this theme and ran with it, accenting the already stunning details with vintage lounge furniture and and soft candlelight. Their style didn’t stop at the decor. Elizabeth looked stunning in a gorgeous Monique Lhuillier gown while Chad rocked the Chuck Taylors. They are definitely a good looking couple but I have to say that my favorite fashion statement of the day came in the form of a pint sized grey suit and matching newsboy cap donned by the bride and groom’s little one, Cash. Too cute!

The light rain parted just in time for a gospel choir to announce the arrival of Chad’s beautiful bride. Elizabeth and Chad said their “I do’s” in the main courtyard of the hotel flanked by orchids and rose petals. Friends and family surrounded the happy couple as they exchanged vows and shared laughs. The kiss signaled the end of the ceremony and the start of one amazing party. Guests wandered the beautiful property sampling from the many unique food stations as they sipped custom cocktails and grooved to the beats of DJ Kyle Moss. The night was so magical. Congratulations to Elizabeth, Chad and Cash!

Rain, Rain, go away

» Jenny
Jenny

On Sunday I met up with Jennifer and Brian for their afternoon engagement session in San Diego. We literally just beat the rain! It started to sprinkle for our last few shots. We had such a blast hanging out despite the pending doom of a storm. Jennifer and Brian are so cute together and VERY good looking so it made it that much easier for me to shoot. They definitely have chemistry together and it really shows in how playful they are together. I feel so lucky to have met them and even luckier that I’ll be a part of their big day. I can’t wait to meet all of their family and friends. I’m sure they’re just as sweet as they are!

Congratulations you two!

Marlynn and Jam Celebrate at the Anaheim Hilton

» Katie
Katie

Marlynn and Jam have been sweethearts for years so their wedding at the Anaheim Hilton has been something that their friends and family has been waiting for for a long time, and boy did Marlynn and Jam deliver. Marlynn and Jam planned their celebration for over a year and no detail was left behind. Guests were treated to so much fun and joy that even my feet were dancing to the music. You have to believe me when I say never before have I seen a dance off at a wedding like this. Marlynn and Jam’s guests really had the moves. I mean full blown “Thriller” moves. There was dancing (of course) and beautiful speeches and a touching ceremony but by far my favorite moment of the night came when Jam’s mom treated everyone to an amazing rendition of “At Last.” She gave Miss Etta James a run for her money. The whole night was filled to the brim with excitement. I loved every moment of it. Congratulations to Marlynn and Jam for hosting the wedding of a lifetime!

Park Plaza, the Garden of Eden?

» Jenny
Jenny

Ok, so maybe the Park Plaza is not the Garden of Eden, but it was the fabulous 1920’s hotel where Eden and Peter were married. And there was a lot of flowers and wild life there so that’s close enough right? (Well, you’ll see what I mean when you see the photos.) This wedding was absolutely the coolest ever! The decor was something I had never seen before…stuffed animals! No not the fuzzy tedddy bear type, but the taxidermy type. A squirrel and rabbit greeted guests as they entered and found their place cards. A curiously stoic beaver hung out with guests who chilled in the courtyard on the vintage couch. A cute little skunk sat among the books on a side table in the same seating area. At your feet a raccoon peeked behind the leg of a coffee table waiting to eat the remnants from the appetizer napkins. You felt at one with nature all while sipping a cocktail and snapping a photo or two in the photobooth! Eden and Peter not only have a fun sense of humor, they also have an amazing group of family and friends. We had such a wonderful night getting to know everyone and sharing in their day. We wish you both the best and know you’ll have many more playful adventures…with or without the pack of animals following!

Sara and David’s Ultra Cool Marvimon wedding

» Jenny
Jenny

Sara and David celebrated their wedding a few weeks ago at the ever so hip and cool Marvimon. This place is such a unique and funky spot in downtown LA and I love shooting there. The one- time auto showroom built by an Italian race car driver in 1924, has an open roof in the back of the loft which houses the ivy walled garden. This courtyard was the setting of Sara and David’s intimate ceremony. After exchanging vows officiated by Justice Martha Walters, guest made their way from the garden to the inside loft area where appetizers and cocktails were served. The coolest thing about this spot is that the bistro style kitchen is open to the guest area. Guests are served while caterers cook the food in front of them. It really makes the whole space feel very homey. Sara and David wanted that exact feeling for their wedding and they definitely achieved that. I really enjoyed being a part of Sara and David’s wedding and hearing about their loving relationship celebrated by their family and friends. Congrats you two and thanks for including me in your big day!

A few weeks ago I photographed some family photos before Jordan’s Bar Mitzvah. It was great meeting Jordan and his family and getting some pictures of the momentous day. Jordan is quite the model and was very good at posing for the camera. Do I see a future in modeling????

Congratulations Jordan!
