Kristen and Danny at Oak Meadows

On Saturday I made the drive to wine country in Temecula to photograph Kristen and Danny’s wedding at Oak Meadows. This place is gorgeous! And it was a perfect match that I also had a gorgeous bride and groom there to photograph. And let’s not forget Kristen’s daughter, Chaslyn, who looked like a little princess. She was so darn cute I couldn’t stop taking pictures of her. And I really loved how Chaslyn was included in every little detail of the day. It really was a marriage of a family. I was so touched throughout the day that I shed more than just a few tears. What a beautiful family they’ve created together. I’d wish them all luck but I know they don’t need it so I’ll offer my congratulations instead.

During the ceremony Danny got down on one knee and presented Chaslyn with a necklace.

She was overwhelmed with emotion.

Chaslyn wanted to thank everyone for coming… Too cute!

Lindsey and Chris in Downtown LA

» Tammy
Tammy

On Sunday I met Lindsey and Chris in Downtown LA to shoot their engagement photos. We started out at the beautifully art deco Union Station. Because of the Dodger game it was a little more crowded than usual but we didn’t let that get in our way. We had to wait a few minutes for the crowd to clear up on some shots, but I think it was worth it. Afterwards we headed over to the Disney Concert Hall and used the modern architecture to our advantage. I love the light that’s casted from the silver walls and all the reflections there are to play with. And Lindsey and Chris were great models. They were up for anything I suggested and were able to pull it off with ease too. Great job you two! Looking forward to seeing you again at the wedding.

A quiet Sunday at Santa Monica Pier…yeah right!

On Sunday I photographed the sweetest couple, Elizabeth and Kyle. We started our engagment photos at UCLA. No, they did not go to school there, (they actually met at UCSB) but I really wanted to incorporate some architectural elements into the shoot and so I chose the Italian Renaissance style buildings on the campus. The light is great there and it was a beautiful spot to start our day. After a few shots at UCLA, we headed to Santa Monica pier to catch the sunset. Let me tell you, Santa Monica Pier on a Sunday in August….not so quiet! But we used the hustle and bustle of the pier to our advantage and Elizabeth and Kyle were great sports. I had them kiss in the middle of the large crowds and some rowdy tourists kept making cat calls the whole time. It was pretty funny! The day was gorgeous and I had so much fun and we got some pretty awesome shots. What a great way to spend a Sunday. Thanks Elizabeth and Kyle.

Riley and Drew In Downtown LA

Last Friday I had the great pleasure of photographing Riley and Drew for their engagement photos in Downtown LA. At first we started at Union Station to capture some of the Old Art Deco feel of the building. Then we headed over to Disney Concert Hall for a more modern look. I enjoyed shooting these two so much. They are so natural and playful with each other. I love the candid shots we were able to grab. I guess it makes sense that they’re so comfortable with each other since they’ve been together for 15 years. That’s amazing! Congrats you two. I can’t wait for the wedding in October. See you then!

Life’s a Beach

Photographing Jackie and Mark last weekend at the beach was so much fun. We all got to spend a day in the sun. Mark originally popped the question under the pier in Hermosa Beach so we started there to celebrate their engagement, but we didn’t just go to the beach for the waves and the sand. We went for all the other fun beach activities too. We rented bikes, shared a pizza and topped it all of with some cotton candy. The only thing missing was the mustard, right Jackie?
I can’t wait for the wedding you guys! Thanks for a fun day!

Missy and Hans at Wine and Roses

On Saturday I met Missy and Hans in Lodi at Wine and Roses to photograph their wedding. This is such a beautiful No Cal location! The ceremony was held outdoors and surrounded by lush greenery and you guessed it…. roses. Missy looked breathtaking in her dress and her hair was flawless. Hans was styling in his suit and tie and couldn’t help but shed a few tears when he saw his bride for the first time. How sweet! After their touching ceremony everyone headed inside the Garden Ballroom to throw down and have a good time. Among the guests were many of their high school and college friends so you can imagine how crazy things got. What an awesome wedding! Congrats you two.
