El Cielo Bridal Shower

» Jenny
Jenny

On Tuesday I made my way to Beverly Hills to the beautiful El Cielo Resturaunt for a bridal shower. The bridal shower was for Sarah and Shervin who’s wedding is later this month. It was a great location to host a bridal shower because it is very intimate. Sarah had a suprise when Shervin showed up with all of the guys to sit and have dinner. Once Shervin arrived the dancing began and everyone hit the dance floor to celebrate the first event in Sarah and Shervin’s wedding month.

We wish you the best Sarah and Shervin!

Vicki and Tom at the Long Beach Aquarium

On Saturday I met Vicki and Tom at the Long Beach Aquarium to photograph their wedding. This is a very unique and fun place to shoot. It’s full of vibrant color and of course tons of different aquariums. We had a great time taking advantage of everything there. First we started at Shoreline Park to get some fun shots of the wedding party before we headed to the aquarium for the ceremony. This crowd was so much fun and adventurous and really just up for anything I asked for. It made for an awesome day of shooting. And let’s not forget Vicki and Tom who are just the cutest couple ever. They have such a sweet connection with each other… you know, the kind that can get you all teary eyed. Congratulations you two!

Stacey & Jason at Cafe Pinot

» Katie

Stacey and Jason said I do overlooking the Los Angeles valley at the beautiful Bel Air Presbyterian church Saturday amongst family and friends. After the ceremony we cruised down the 101 to downtown L.A.’s Cafe Pinot for a night of dinner and dancing. The skyscrapers and art deco downtown library set the stage for an elegant evening under the stars. Stacey and Jason showcased their swing dancing skills during their first dance. Their guests cheered the two on as they glided around the dance floor. They were so amazing. I am hoping they will teach me a few of their moves. My favorite moment of the event came as Jason gave a heartfelt toast to “the woman of his dreams.” Such a beautiful wedding. Thanks so much to Stacey and Jason for having us share in their special day.

Lindsey and Chris in Downtown LA

» Tammy
Tammy

On Sunday I met Lindsey and Chris in Downtown LA to shoot their engagement photos. We started out at the beautifully art deco Union Station. Because of the Dodger game it was a little more crowded than usual but we didn’t let that get in our way. We had to wait a few minutes for the crowd to clear up on some shots, but I think it was worth it. Afterwards we headed over to the Disney Concert Hall and used the modern architecture to our advantage. I love the light that’s casted from the silver walls and all the reflections there are to play with. And Lindsey and Chris were great models. They were up for anything I suggested and were able to pull it off with ease too. Great job you two! Looking forward to seeing you again at the wedding.

Gay and Jon’s Relais du Soleil Sonoma Wedding

» Nikki

Last Saturday I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Gay and Jon’s very intimate wedding at Relais du Soleil in Sonoma. They recently moved back to the United States after spending two years in New Zealand. Friends and family came in from all over, many which hadn’t seen the couple in a long time. It was the sweetest and most relaxing day… Gay started crying while walking down the isle followed by Jon’s tears after the ceremony. Their rings were made out of different types of wood symbolizing the places that have touched their hearts. Including wood indigenous to New Zealand and bamboo to signify their time in Asia. The food was amazing, as one would expect since Gay is a chef. A huge vegetable paella was served followed by a delicious vegan ice cream dessert. What an amazing day shared with all their loved ones. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of it! Congratulations Gay and Jon!!

A quiet Sunday at Santa Monica Pier…yeah right!

» Jenny

On Sunday I photographed the sweetest couple, Elizabeth and Kyle. We started our engagment photos at UCLA. No, they did not go to school there, (they actually met at UCSB) but I really wanted to incorporate some architectural elements into the shoot and so I chose the Italian Renaissance style buildings on the campus. The light is great there and it was a beautiful spot to start our day. After a few shots at UCLA, we headed to Santa Monica pier to catch the sunset. Let me tell you, Santa Monica Pier on a Sunday in August….not so quiet! But we used the hustle and bustle of the pier to our advantage and Elizabeth and Kyle were great sports. I had them kiss in the middle of the large crowds and some rowdy tourists kept making cat calls the whole time. It was pretty funny! The day was gorgeous and I had so much fun and we got some pretty awesome shots. What a great way to spend a Sunday. Thanks Elizabeth and Kyle.
